The Blackrock VEC consists of three old buildings dating back to the early 1900s – the Blackrock Technical Institute; the Carnegie Library and the Municipal Technical Institute. The three building are approximately 1,790msq. The Senior College Dún Laoghaire will move to this premises and will be known as Blackrock Further Education Institute, and the County Council Blackrock Library will also be incorporated in the new building.
